Recently, I held a reception for the above stated exhibit, it was a huge success. As an artist who happens to be African-American,I was pleased to see that the Fishers Arts Council and the Town of Fishers only referred to me as an artist, both personally and all their publication. This has been something I've been seeking from the on-set. It was also clear that the varsity of my artwork was well accepted within this community. I hope that other venues begin to delete race from the description of an artist, so that a equal playing field is established in the mainstream of the arts community
